Dear members
It has been great to see the courts being well used since March 15th as the weather continues to improve.
However, we are certain that most of you are aware of the Premier’s announcement today regarding further restrictions in Ontario to curb the spread of COVID-19 effective 12:01 a.m. Saturday April 17, 2021.
Because the situation with COVID-19 is dire, the government announced that outdoor recreation activities are being restricted. This impact clubs such as Whiteoaks. Consequently, we are sad to announce that the City of Mississauga has directed that all tennis clubs, including Whiteoaks Park Tennis Club, be temporarily closed until further notice.
What does this mean?
- The club is closed effective 12:01 a.m. Saturday April 17, 2021 with all courts cancelled until further notice.
- Mounting of the windscreens tomorrow morning is postponed until the club is allowed to reopen. Thank you to the volunteers who offered to help.
- Fob pickup scheduled for tomorrow is postponed until further notice.
As soon as we receive instructions to re-open the club, you will be notified. Meantime, please follow the COVID-19 Public Health rules and stay safe.
