Dear members
Based on yesterday’s provincial announcement about the lockdown of the whole province, the City of Mississauga has sent an update to all tennis clubs. I’m certain that you will be happy to hear that we are allowed to stay open to promote outdoor physical activity. Singles and doubles play are allowed as well as singles and double ladders. This year we will run three different ladders (standard Challenge ladder, ladies Challenge ladder and doubles box ladder). Registrations to any of the ladders is now open and you can register by going to your account and looking for “Register for Adult Programs”. On the other hand, organized games are not allowed at this point. This includes, no intra/inter club leagues, social events, tournaments or round robins.
Nevertheless, we are reminding members to follow the below guidelines to minimize the covid-19 risk:
- Follow Covid-19 guidelines posted at the main gate
- Wear your mask except when playing tennis
- Don’t come to the club if you feel sick
- Keep social distancing
- Use hand sanitizer before and after play
- Don’t gather in a big group
- Play and leave the club after playing
